
Chonnaphat Naksua, accompanied by his lawyer, appeared as summoned to meet with Department of Special Investigation (DSI) officials regarding the gambling and money laundering case, providing explanations to the authorities.
At 10:59 a.m. on 12 Mar 2026 GMT+7, reporters at the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) reported that Chonnaphat Naksua, Member of Parliament for Songkhla District 4 from the Kla Tham Party, arrived with his lawyer at the DSI to report and acknowledge charges under the summons. He is accused of jointly organizing unauthorized gambling activities, enticing or advertising directly or indirectly to others to participate, and money laundering, offenses under the Gambling Act of 1935.
Upon arrival, the media sought an interview, but he briefly stated he came to report as summoned and expressed confidence in the evidence. He added that this summons concerns an old case and that he is ready to provide information to the authorities.
When asked about the Anti-Money Laundering Office progressively seizing assets, Chonnaphat responded that it was fine and that he would explain matters gradually.
Thereafter, Chonnaphat and his lawyer requested to meet with DSI officials privately before emerging to give further statements.
