Regarding the case, Chonnapat Naksua, MP for Songkhla constituency 4 from the Kla Party, along with his lawyer, went to the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) to report himself and acknowledge the charges under the summons. He is accused of jointly organizing gambling or using a ruse to lure, assisting in advertising or directly or indirectly inviting others to participate in unauthorized gambling, and money laundering, offenses under the Gambling Act of 1935. The latest update: At 14:10, special case investigator 150/2568 brought Chonnapat Naksua to the Ratchada Criminal Court for detention under the Criminal Procedure Code sections 134 in conjunction with sections 71 and 66. The investigator deemed it necessary to detain Chonnapat for further questioning and therefore sent him to the court for detention. The DSI opposed bail during the investigation stage. Although Chonnapat is an MP, because the parliamentary session has not yet opened, he does not yet have parliamentary immunity.
Regarding the money laundering charge related to the illegal gambling website that Chonnapat faces, the penalty is 10 years or more in prison, qualifying for detention in seven installments totaling 84 days.

At 14:30 at the Criminal Court, Police Lieutenant Colonel Khemchat Prakaihongmanee, Director of the Technology and Information Case Division of the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), Ministry of Justice, along with DSI investigators, escorted Chonnapat Naksua, the suspect in the case of jointly organizing gambling or using a ruse to lure, assisting in advertising or directly or indirectly inviting others to participate in unauthorized gambling, and money laundering, offenses under the Gambling Act of 1935, to the Criminal Court to request detention.
