Anutin opened the party to receive Pheu Thai’s ministerial list, expressing confidence in the coalition’s unity ahead of the parliamentary session to elect the prime minister on 15 March.
On 12 March 2026 at the Bhumjaithai party office, Prime Minister and Bhumjaithai leader Anutin Charnvirakul, together with party leaders, welcomed the Pheu Thai leadership delegation led by Chulaphan Amornwiwat, Pheu Thai leader, along with Choosak Sirinil and Sudawan Wangsupakitkosol. They came to submit the list of ministers allocated to Pheu Thai and the candidate for the second deputy speaker of the House of Representatives to Bhumjaithai as the coalition leader.
As soon as Chulaphan got out of the car and met Anutin, who was waiting to greet him, the atmosphere was friendly. Anutin cheerfully greeted him, saying, “Nim, I’ve been waiting for you for a long time,” before they embraced warmly. This was their first meeting since Chulaphan recovered from illness and missed the earlier government formation press conference.
The discussions are expected to include agreements on voting strategies for the House Speaker, deputy speakers, and the prime ministerial election to ensure unified coalition support. Bhumjaithai has scheduled a meeting with its MPs to prepare for the official parliamentary opening ceremony on 14 March.
On 15 March, the 27th House of Representatives will convene its first regular session of the year, with key agenda items including the election of the House Speaker and both deputy speakers. This marks the official start of legislative work.
