
Chonnapat opened up after being granted temporary bail, admitting he is worried about fighting the case but ready to prove his innocence. He also acknowledged preparing himself for questioning in parliament.
On 12 March 2026, Mr. Chonnapat Naksua, Songkhla MP from the Kla Party, revealed after being granted bail that he decided to enter the justice process to dispel public suspicion and is prepared to prove himself in court. Although he admitted some worry about the legal battle, his time in detention made him realize the dignity of being a Member of Parliament (MP), and he intends to demonstrate that he still upholds society’s dignity.
Regarding the summons before parliament convenes, Chonnapat said officials followed procedure after the court recommended issuing a summons to report within seven days. He promptly reported to the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) because he wants to prove himself and is only concerned about the unease of constituents in his area.
“I don’t blame anyone and have informed Lt. Col. Thammanat Prompao that I want to prove myself to Thai society and let everything follow the evidence,” Chonnapat said. He added that he is ready to clarify all issues the public questions, especially the “financial trail from 2019,” which he is confident he can fully address. He is also prepared that if this matter is raised for questioning in parliament, he will be strong, patient, and straightforward in explaining the truth to the assembly.
