What surprised many was the unexpected inclusion of Mr. Worasit Liangprasit, known as Kopae, MP for Satun's 2nd district from the Bhumjaithai Party, who is set to become Deputy Minister of Interior.

Mr. Worasit Liangprasit, or Kopae, was born on 10 February 1989 and is currently 37 years old. He holds a Master of Science in Business Management, specializing in International Business, from Bournemouth University in the United Kingdom.

Kopae Worasit is the son of Mr. Somkiat Liangprasit, owner of Kiatcharoenchai Ltd., which operates businesses including fishing vessels, trucking, fish farms, ports, construction contracting, gas stations, palm plantations, and the Kiatcharoenchai Boxing Camp. He is also the grandson of Mr. Samrit Liangprasit, a former three-term Satun Provincial Administrative Organization president.

Kopae Worasit has served as manager of Kiatcharoenchai Fisheries Ltd., manager of the Kiatcharoenchai Boxing Camp, and manager of the Cadence Satun United Football Club.

Political career.

Kopae Worasit was first elected as an MP in 2019 and successfully retained his seat in the 2023 election. In the election held on 8 February 2026, he won decisively with a margin exceeding 50,000 votes, securing his third term representing the Bhumjaithai Party. Additionally, Kopae has served as assistant secretary to the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Development and as a member of the Committee on Commerce and Intellectual Property.
