
The Democrat Party spokesperson explained the issue concerning Krityichai, Democrat MP for Trang's 3rd district, involved in a 7.4 million baht tax evasion case with accompanying criminal charges of document forgery. He affirmed there is no obstruction to investigation, and all matters are proceeding according to the legal process.

Mr. Pongsakorn Kwanmuang, spokesperson for the Democrat Party, gave an interview regarding the case where investigators from the Economic Crime Suppression Division (ECD) issued a summons to Mr. Krityichai Pakyichon, Democrat MP for Trang's 3rd district, to acknowledge the charges related to tax evasion amounting to 7,400,000 baht. He said that previously Mr. Satit Wongnongtoey, the party's MP chairman and deputy leader, had clarified that the matter concerns tax payments following the inheritance received by Mr. Krityichai's family, and there was an issue with tax payment, with an intention to settle the taxes correctly and fully.
When asked whether this case involves both civil tax matters and criminal charges of document forgery, Mr. Pongsakorn said, "Everything must proceed according to the legal process without any obstruction, and the investigation must follow the proper steps." When asked if today’s party meeting would allow Mr. Krityichai to explain the matter, Mr. Pongsakorn replied that the meeting was still ongoing and expected that he would be given a chance to explain. However, he emphasized that the main issue is the tax payment, which must be carried out correctly according to all legal requirements.
