On 14 March 2026 at 5:00 PM, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul paid respects and received the royal procession of His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen as they proceeded to open the parliamentary session in the ceremonial hall on the 11th floor of the Parliament Building, Dusit District, Bangkok, and presented their reports.
The schedule for the parliamentary opening ceremony is as follows:
Time12:00-13:00Senate members arrive at the B1 level, pass through security screening, receive blue stickers, register, and get name badges, with attire inspections. At 3:00 PM, Senate members gather in the Chandra meeting room to receive instructions on the ceremony procedures.
When the time comes, the announcer instructs staff to escort members to the 11th-floor hall in order according to their standing rows (rows 1 to 24).
Then at 4:50 PM,His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen take their royal car and proceed from Amphorn Sathan Throne Hall,
Dusit Palace, to the Parliament Building on Samsen Road, Nakhon Chaisri Subdistrict, Dusit District, Bangkok.
At 5:00 PM, they arriveat the Parliament Building (with the band playing the Royal Anthem), where Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul presents his report.
Mr. Mongkol Surasajja, President of the Senate serving as Speaker of Parliament, and Mr. Siroj Paephan, Secretary-General of the House of Representatives, also present their reports.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Pannita Stantaiprop, Secretary-General of the Senate, offers a garland to His Majesty the King’s wrist, and Mrs. Jongduan Suthirat, Deputy Secretary-General of the House of Representatives, offers a garland to Her Majesty the Queen’s wrist. They then proceed into the ceremonial hall and standin front of the royal throne.His Majesty delivers the royal speech to open the parliamentary session before proceeding back to the royal car and leaving the Parliament Building to return to Amphorn Sathan Throne Hall, Dusit Palace.
