Biography of Napintorn, Owner of Sri Muang Market, Secures Position as Minister Attached to the Prime Ministers Office for Another Term

This is the biography of Napintorn Srisanpang, a major businessman from Ratchaburi and a key "keyman" of the Bhumjaithai Party. Despite cabinet reshuffles, he has retained his seat and continues as Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office in the second Anutin cabinet.

On 14 March 2026, the final list of the Anutin 2 Cabinet was confirmed. There are three Ministers attached to the Prime Minister's Office in this cabinet, all retained by the same individuals: Mr. Pradon Prisananantakul, a prominent figure from Ang Thong and multiple-term Bhumjaithai MP; Mrs. Supamas Isarapakdi, a former multiple-term minister and key Bhumjaithai leader; and Mr. Napintorn Srisanpang, former Deputy Minister of Commerce under Thaksin Shinawatra’s government. He has returned as Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office once again, maintaining his position from the first Anutin cabinet.

Biography of Napintorn Srisanpang

Mr. Napintorn Srisanpang was born on 30 May 1961 and is currently 66 years old. Nicknamed 'Tung,' he hails from Nong Pla Mo Subdistrict, Ban Pong District, Ratchaburi Province. He is the son of Mr. Nom Srisanpang, a former judge, and Mrs. Aek Anong Srisanpang. He completed primary education at Darunaratchaburi School, lower secondary at the same school, upper secondary (grade 10) at Sarasit Pittayalai School, upper secondary (grade 11) at Benchamarachuthit Ratchaburi School, holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Political Science, both from Ramkhamhaeng University.

In his personal life, he is a businessman serving as Managing Director of Aggro Commerce Group Co., Ltd., and Chairman of the Board of Sri Muang Central Vegetable and Fruit Market in Ratchaburi, one of the largest such markets in Thailand and the ASEAN region. He has played a key role in establishing agricultural product logistics systems, making Sri Muang a critical distribution hub in the western region.

Political career of Napintorn Srisanpang

Mr. Napintorn began his political career as a member of the Ratchaburi Municipal Council (1984–1988), Ratchaburi Provincial Council (1992–1995), and Ratchaburi Provincial Senator (2000–2006).

He later joined the Pheu Thai Party. In the 2011 election, he ran for a party-list MP seat for Pheu Thai (number 83). Although not immediately elected, he was subsequently promoted to MP to fill a vacant party-list seat.

In 2019, Mr. Napintorn officially began working with the Bhumjaithai Party, appointed as Assistant Minister attached to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports (with Mr. Pipat Ratchakitprakarn from Bhumjaithai as Minister). This marked the start of his close association with Anutin Charnvirakul, becoming a "keyman" for Bhumjaithai in Ratchaburi and lower central Thailand. His strong support base from the Sri Muang Market business helped Bhumjaithai penetrate the highly competitive central region. He was trusted to be the 16th party-list MP candidate for Bhumjaithai in the 2023 election. When Bhumjaithai joined government with Pheu Thai, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Commerce in the cabinet of Mr. Srettha Thavisin and continued under Mrs. Paethongtarn Shinawatra.

On 19 June 2025, Mr. Napintorn resigned as Deputy Minister of Commerce along with other Bhumjaithai ministers after the party decided to withdraw from Mrs. Paethongtarn’s coalition government. This followed a leaked audio clip involving Mrs. Paethongtarn and Hun Sen, Chairman of the Senate and former Prime Minister, discussing solutions to the Thai-Cambodian border situation, which caused Bhumjaithai to become the opposition.

Subsequently, political developments led to Mrs. Paethongtarn's removal from the Prime Minister position by the Constitutional Court over the leaked audio case. Bhumjaithai then succeeded in forming a government with support from over 140 MPs from the People's Party. Mr. Napintorn was appointed Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office in the first Anutin cabinet, and his name remained on the list, retaining the same position in the second Anutin cabinet.
