Anutin Denies Knowing Je Ae, Unrelated to Gun License Approval for Son, Confused About Phone Call

Anutin insists he does not know "Je Ae" and never gave her his phone number. He met her only once during the flood and sees no need to file a complaint. He emphasizes that carrying a gun requires a license, and anyone not a government official caught with a gun will be prosecuted.

At 14:00 at the parliament, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, was interviewed regarding Ms. Nattharin Kasemsarnpipat, or "Je Ae," who said on a popular program that she called Mr. Anutin once, and her son, a shooting athlete, immediately got a Type 3 gun license after the district chief refused to sign the permit. Mr. Anutin confirmed he does not personally know or have a close relationship with Je Ae and never gave her his phone number. However, he admitted meeting her only once, with no issues involved. He stressed the gun matter is definitely unrelated to him.

When asked if it was necessary to stop Je Ae from falsely claiming association, Anutin replied, "I don't know her." When further asked whether Je Ae's claim could damage the Prime Minister's reputation, he turned to reporters and asked, "How could it damage me? I didn’t do it. I’ve said it already, and there’s no need to clarify or file a complaint."

Before getting into his car, Anutin told reporters, "They prohibit carrying guns. There is no renewal of gun carrying licenses or permission to carry. Nowadays, anyone carrying a gun outside their residence who is not a government official is breaking the law."
