Introducing the profile of Dida-Sabida Thaiset, daughter of Chada Thaiset, who unexpectedly once served as Deputy Minister of Interior in place of her father. Recently, in the second Anutin cabinet, she continues to hold the Minister of Culture position as before, maintaining continuity.
On 15 March 2026 GMT+7, the cabinet list of Anutin 2 became clear, with ministerial posts allocated among coalition parties. Ms. Sabida Thaiset will retain her role as Minister of Culture, as she did in the first Anutin cabinet. This is expected to ensure continuity and smooth progress of the ministry's work.
Ms. Sabida Thaiset, nicknamed “Dida,” was born on 11 October 1984 and is currently 42 years old. She is the middle daughter among three daughters of Mr. Chada Thaiset and Mrs. Tueanjitra Saengkrai. She married Mr. Anan Pathan (Chadev) in early 2022, with Mr. Chuan Leekpai presiding over the ceremony. The wedding was described as a grand and magnificent event, closing a luxury hotel with over 500 rooms on Koh Samui for four nights to welcome numerous guests from political circles.
Regarding her education, Ms. Sabida graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from Assumption University and earned a Master of Laws degree from a university in London, United Kingdom.
Before becoming a minister, Ms. Sabida worked behind the scenes as a key aide to her father, Mr. Chada. She was part of his team during his tenure as Deputy Minister of Interior and frequently represented him in the field. Additionally, she served as vice-chairperson and secretary of the Thaiset Foundation and the Uthai Thani Development Foundation, key organizations supporting social assistance efforts in Uthai Thani province.
In 2024, under the government of Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Mr. Chada faced qualification issues and had to withdraw from his Deputy Minister of Interior post. Ms. Sabida was appointed to replace him as Deputy Minister of Interior. Later, in 2025, when the Bhumjaithai Party led the formation of government, Ms. Sabida was appointed Minister of Culture in the first Anutin cabinet. Upon entering the second Anutin cabinet, her name remains listed as Minister of Culture, maintaining her portfolio.
