The Royal Gazette published a decree whereby the King graciously appointed Sophon Sarum as Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mallika Jiraphanwanich as the First Deputy Speaker, and Lertsak Pattanaichakul as the Second Deputy Speaker.
On 16 Mar 2026 at 14:30, the Royal Gazette website published a decree appointing the Speaker and Deputy Speakers of the House of Representatives, stating that His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun graciously commanded the announcement. At the first ordinary session of the House of Representatives on 15 March 2026, the assembly voted to select the Speaker and Deputy Speakers.
By virtue of the authority under Section 116 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, His Majesty graciously appointed the Speaker and Deputy Speakers of the House of Representatives as follows:
1. Mr. Sophon Sarum as Speaker of the House of Representatives.
2. Ms. Mallika Jiraphanwanich as First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.
3. Mr. Lertsak Pattanaichakul as Second Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.
These appointments are effective immediately.
