The Ministry of Energy is accelerating efforts to resolve delays in fuel distribution by mobilizing additional fuel transport trucks and increasing delivery rounds to quickly restore normal supply at service stations experiencing shortages.
On 16 Mar 2026, Energy Minister Atthapol Rerkpiboon, together with Prasert Sinsukprasert, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, convened an urgent meeting with representatives of fuel traders and refinery operators at Phakdi Bodin Building to assess the situation and formulate measures to resolve the current delays in fuel distribution.
The meeting concluded with urgent action plans to expedite fuel delivery to service stations as follows: mobilize more fuel transport trucks to increase logistical capacity; increase delivery rounds by extending hours and frequency to move fuel more rapidly from storage facilities to targeted service stations; and emphasize integrated coordination so that all sectors connect data and collaborate seamlessly.
Energy Minister Atthapol stated that these measures will help replenish fuel quantities at stations beginning to face shortages and quickly return conditions to normal. He also urged the public to have confidence in the country's energy stability and to alleviate concerns regarding the current situation.
