Attawit revealed that two Ruam Thai Sang Chart MPs are ready to vote in support of Anutin for the prime minister position, motivated by the desire to push two key bills: the 'solar power freedom' bill and the 'credit bureau unlocking' bill, signaling readiness to join the government.
At 10:50 GMT+7 on 18 March 2026 at the parliament, Mr. Attawit Suwanpakdee, party-list MP and deputy leader of Ruam Thai Sang Chart (RTSC), reported to the Secretariat of the House of Representatives after the Royal Gazette on 17 March announced his appointment as MP replacing Mr. Peeraphan Saleeratwipak, the RTSC party leader who resigned. After reporting, Attawit said that both RTSC MPs are prepared to support Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, as prime minister because they seek backing to advance two important party bills: the draft Act promoting the use of solar power or the 'solar power freedom' bill, and the draft Act on credit information business or the 'credit bureau unlocking' bill. Recent discussions have shown positive direction and reception.
"However, regarding details such as supporting the bills or joining the government, I await clarity and plan to hold a press conference on 19 March at 08:30 GMT+7. We have no conditions other than the goal to successfully advance our party's bills because Mr. Peeraphan, the party leader, asked me to continue working to push these key bills. Meanwhile, Mr. Peeraphan will focus on building the party network and establishing branches, since in the last election the RTSC party could not field candidates in all provinces due to inability to hold primary voting. Therefore, my goal in parliament is to achieve success in our work, and I am ready to collaborate with all sides." Mr. Attawit stated.
