United Thai Nation Party Set to Join Coalition Government Anutins PM Vote Surpasses 292

For the 2026 government formation, Bhumjaithai Party is set to launch the "United Thai Nation Party" on 19 March. It is expected that Pheerapun will resign as MP to pave the way for the coalition. The latest vote count supporting Anutin as Prime Minister has surpassed 292.

On 18 March 2026, news from the Bhumjaithai Party indicated that tomorrow (19 March) Ms. Nan Boonthida Somchai, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ubon Ratchathani and Bhumjaithai Party spokesperson, will announce the coalition with the United Thai Nation Party at the Parliament building at 08:30, led by Mr. Attawit Suwanpakdee, party-list MP of the United Thai Nation Party.

Previously, Mr. Pheerapun Salirathavibhaga, party leader, resigned as party-list MP to allow Mr. Attawit to take his seat amid strong criticism of the coalition. Mr. Pheerapun had previously stated he would not vote for Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Bhumjaithai Party leader, as Prime Minister, but clarity emerged as Mr. Attawit reported to Parliament this morning, showing a high likelihood of joining the "Anutin 2 Government."
