Sophon and Mallika inspected the meeting room ahead of their first official duties as Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Parliament during the important agenda of voting for the Prime Minister on 19 March.
On 18 March 2026 at 13:30, at the House of Representatives meeting room, 2nd floor, Parliament Building, Mr. Sophon Sarum, Speaker of the House of Representatives, , along with Ms. Mallika Chirapanwanich, First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, inspected the House of Representatives meeting room to prepare for the 27th Parliament, 1st year, 2nd session (first ordinary session) meeting agenda to consider and approve the person suitable for appointment as Prime Minister, under Article 159 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, scheduled for tomorrow (19 March 2026).
This meeting on 19 March will mark the first official duties of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives after receiving royal appointment, with Mr. Siroj Paetpan, Secretary-General of the House of Representatives, and the management team of the Parliamentary Secretariat also joining the inspection.
