Anutin Visits Government House to Address Work, Urges Calm and Cooperation

Anutin arrived at Government House to manage his work, urging people not to worry. He affirmed that the government is doing its best and believes all parties are trying to minimize hardship for the public. He asked that no one be blamed yet and called for cooperation from everyone. He is preparing to travel to Parliament at 9 a.m. tomorrow.

At 20:04 on 18 Mar 2026 GMT+7, at Government House, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, arrived at the Thai Khu Fah Building after completing his duties as Minister of Honor during the official visit of His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen to the Lao People's Democratic Republic from 16 to 18 Mar 2026.

Mr. Anutin stated that he came to Government House to clear the paperwork piling up on his desk. Tomorrow (19 Mar 2026), he will travel to Parliament to attend a House of Representatives meeting at 9:00 a.m., during which approval will be considered for the appointment of a suitable person as Prime Minister.

Mr. Anutin also spoke about the Center for Management and Monitoring of the Conflict Situation in the Middle East (CMMS) meeting at Parliament at 1:00 p.m. on 19 Mar, saying there will be daily meetings concerning energy matters. He has been monitoring continuously, even during his three-day foreign trip, with ongoing discussions. He urged no worries, affirming that the government is fully committed and asking for cooperation from all sides.

When asked about Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, who is the CMMS director, stating that liars about the oil refinery would be identified in the 19 Mar meeting, the Prime Minister replied there is none. He asked people not to assume who might be responsible, saying everyone is trying to implement government policies to cause the least hardship for the public. He explained that many factors beyond their control affect the situation, such as imported goods and regional conditions, but the government will manage domestic affairs to minimize hardship. Demand and usage are currently high, so they must find ways to increase domestic oil production and reserves, including various additives, to bolster supply.
