Bhumjaithai Welcomes Ruamthai Sang Charts 2 Votes to Join Government, No Talks on Positions Yet

The spokesperson for Bhumjaithai Party officially welcomes Ruamthai Sang Chart to join the government. Meanwhile, "Ae Attawit" confirmed efforts to promote solar energy legislation and credit bureau reforms, stating there have been no discussions about positions yet.

At 08:30 on 19 Mar 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Nan Boonthida Somchai, MP for Ubon Ratchathani and spokesperson for Bhumjaithai Party, arrived at the parliament building along with representatives from Ruamthai Sang Chart Party. She revealed that today was an official press conference regarding Ruamthai Sang Chart's support for Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul as Prime Minister, with Ruamthai Sang Chart representatives also joining the announcement, including Mr. Chatchawan Kongudom or "Chatcha Taopoon" expressing congratulations on the collaboration.

Meanwhile, Mr. Attawit Suwanpakdee, party-list MP and deputy leader of Ruamthai Sang Chart, stated he is pleased to work together and be part of the government, and is happy to vote for Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul as Prime Minister for a second term. He noted that the policies of Bhumjaithai and Ruamthai Sang Chart align on many issues.

Ruamthai Sang Chart has two bills it wants to push forward in Mr. Anutin's government: legislation for liberalizing solar energy use and credit bureau reform. Solar energy is something many people desire, and reforming the credit bureau would help more than 5 million people improve their financial standing and reenter the economy by resolving informal debts. These bills have already been signed, and he urged Bhumjaithai Party to help promote these two laws.

When asked about government positions, Mr. Attawit said discussions have only covered policy content, with no talks yet about positions.
