Seripisut targets Anutin, opposing his appointment as prime minister, stating he is unsuitable due to issues of Senate collusion and the Khao Kradong land dispute, and vows to submit an ethics complaint to the Constitutional Court.
On 19 Mar 2026 GMT+7, the parliamentary session turned heated after Police General Seripisut Temiyavet, leader of the Seri Ruam Thai Party, rose to oppose the nomination of Anutin Charnvirakul as prime minister. He described the matter as serious and unacceptable, citing scandals involving Senate collusion and negligence during Anutin's tenure as Minister of Interior.
Police General Seripisut stated that Anutin had neglected the “Khao Kradong land” case, where the court clearly ruled that the land belongs to the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) and ordered the revocation of illegal rights. However, no action was taken, as part of the land belongs to influential figures in Buriram who developed it into a racetrack and football stadium. Furthermore, Anutin himself has a residence in the area, constituting a serious ethical breach. Seripisut announced plans to submit the matter to the Constitutional Court for judgment.
Meanwhile, the atmosphere in the chamber was filled with protests. Boonjong Wongtrairat, MP for Nakhon Ratchasima, and Supachai Jaisamut from the Bhumjaithai Party immediately protested, claiming the allegations were defamatory since the case is still under judicial consideration and should not be preemptively discussed in parliament. Suratin Pichan, leader of the New Democracy Party, countered that smaller parties continue to support Anutin.
