Attakorn Warns Anutin Not to Forget Peoples Hardships, Urges Open-Mindedness

Attakorn warned Anutin not to forget the people's hardships after not inviting the Agriculture and Tourism Ministers to join the Crisis Center managing the impacts of the Middle East war.

On 19 Mar 2026 GMT+7 at the parliament, during the House of Representatives meeting to select the prime minister, Attakorn Sirilattayakorn, MP for Chachoengsao from the Kla Party, spoke during an urgent agenda to consider approving candidates for prime minister under Article 159 of the constitution. Two candidates were nominated: Anutin Charnvirakul from the Bhumjaithai Party and Natthapong Ruangpanyawut from the Prachachon Party. Attakorn said Anutin, as prime minister, works swiftly, but today he was unsure whether Anutin has a good memory. He worried that excessive work might cause forgetfulness, which could affect solving the people's problems in all dimensions.

Attakorn continued that previously the prime minister established a Crisis Center to address the war crisis with a good composition of members, but the prime minister forgot the tourism sector and also the promise to make all Thais wealthy with income. However, the oil crisis solution seems to go in the opposite direction. He feared forgetting brothers, sisters, and friends. Last month, it was said there would be no sudden changes despite those who fought together, but he felt that the prime minister forgot Deputy Minister Thammanat. He said he would not complain but only asked not to forget the people's suffering.

"The Kla Party will not cause disruption because we want Thailand to move forward. We urge the parliament to expedite solving the people's problems. If the prime minister is not forgetful, please be open-minded. After the prime minister vote concludes, please allow motions so MPs can bring up the people's urgent problems for discussion. Today, we cannot vote in favor, but if the country passes through this worrisome crisis, we might support the laws you propose. We will continue to do our duty. This time, the Kla Party abstains from voting," Attakorn said. , Attakorn said
