Julapan Declares Pheu Thais 74 Votes to Support Anutin in Forming Government to Solve Peoples Problems

Julapan declared that the Pheu Thai Party's 74 votes will support Anutin to become prime minister, allowing the new leader to move forward with forming a government that has full authority to solve the people's problems.

On 19 March 2026, Julapan Amornwiwat, party-list MP and leader of the Pheu Thai Party, stated in a parliamentary debate that all 74 members of Pheu Thai have unanimously agreed to endorse Anutin Charnvirakul as prime minister. He explained the decision by noting that Bhumjaithai Party was elected through both party-list and constituency systems, securing 191 seats, more than the second-ranked party and significantly more than the third. This majority represents the people's voice to move the country forward and trust Anutin. Pheu Thai accepts that after the election, the people's voice must be respected by all MPs. He also thanked Bhumjaithai Party for inviting Pheu Thai to join the government. He emphasized that it is now the duty of all present to promptly proceed with selecting the prime minister so that the new prime minister can form a government, receive royal endorsement, present a policy statement to parliament, and have full authority to solve the people's problems.
