Four MPs from Nakhon Si Thammarat representing the Bhumjaithai Party have urged the government to resolve fuel problems at the local level, stressing that grassroots economic professions are being significantly affected.
On 19 Mar 2026 GMT+7, at the parliament, after the prime ministerial vote concluded, four Nakhon Si Thammarat MPs from the Bhumjaithai Party, led by Miss Pimphatra Wichaikul along with Miss Auayponsri Chaowalit, Miss Nantawan Wichian, and Mr. Aphinan Samor, jointly signed a letter urging prompt assistance for all professions in Nakhon Si Thammarat impacted by fuel use. They submitted it directly to Mr. Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, in his role as director of the Center for Economic Situation Administration (CESA).
Miss Pimphatra Wichaikul, MP for Nakhon Si Thammarat, said that the professional groups spread across all zones of Nakhon Si Thammarat—locally known as the mountain, forest, and rice field areas—comprise diverse professions shaped by geographical features. Most importantly, these professions form the backbone of the grassroots economy from community and provincial levels up to the national level. When the grassroots face problems, the impact extends broadly.
Miss Pimphatra clarified that the four Bhumjaithai MPs from Nakhon Si Thammarat are closely monitoring and urgently pushing for solutions for coastal and commercial fishing operators. Currently, the price of green diesel used in the fishing industry along Nakhon Si Thammarat’s coastline has surged by 10.40 baht in a single increase, causing operators to gradually halt fishing activities, which disrupts the entire fisheries industry chain.
“The rubber wood industry and related sectors face challenges due to restrictions on fuel purchase containers and quantities, preventing machinery operators from refueling directly at service stations. Similarly, both large and small transportation operators are affected because they cannot refuel adequately at service stations to meet daily operational needs.”
Not to be overlooked, this Nakhon Si Thammarat MP also highlighted small machinery operators—such as tractor, rice harvester, excavator, grader, bulldozer, and agricultural machinery users—ranging from small to large operators, who are heavily impacted in their work. All these professional groups are spread across every zone of Nakhon Si Thammarat. The letter submission to the administration seeks urgent management and resolution of these issues.
