Prime Minister Pledges to Ensure Government Integrity and Center Work on the People

Prime Minister Anutin pledged to the public to perform his duties with full capability, ensuring the government operates with integrity. He emphasized that public sector work must be subject to strict scrutiny and that governance should be centered on the people.

On 20 March 2026, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul addressed the public after receiving the royal command appointing him as Prime Minister. He expressed profound gratitude for the King's gracious appointment. He promised the Thai people that he would apply his knowledge and experience to serve as Prime Minister to the best of his ability for their well-being. He pledged to oversee the Cabinet, civil servants, and government officials to act honestly and prioritize the people's interests. He also vowed to open opportunities for public participation in government work to solve national problems and contribute to developing our beloved Thailand. Public sector operations will be subject to serious, strict scrutiny by all sectors to ensure transparent administration grounded in the rule of law.

Prime Minister Anutin concluded by expressing hope that this government transition would create a new atmosphere in Thai society—one that looks forward together and fosters a new work culture centered on the people. He added that he will promptly present detailed policies and goals for this government's term in a policy statement to Parliament.
