Rumors Swirl That Pakorn Will Replace Bowornsak as Deputy Prime Minister After Exclusion from Anutins Second Cabinet

Prospective ministers submitted their biographies to the Secretariat of the Cabinet for verification today, revealing that Bowornsak is not continuing in Anutin's second cabinet. Rumors suggest that Pakorn, Secretary-General of the Council of State, will take his place.

On 23 Mar 2026, internal sources from the Bhumjaithai Party reported that after party leaders provided documents for prospective ministers to complete their biographies, these were submitted to the Secretariat of the Cabinet at the Government House. It became clear that within the Bhumjaithai Party's allocation, Bowornsak Uwanno's name was absent as Deputy Prime Minister for legal affairs. Subsequently, news emerged that he declined the deputy prime minister position and all other roles when approached by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul.

Reports indicate that in Anutin's second cabinet, a seasoned legal expert may resign from civil service to join the administration. The name of Pakorn Nilprapan, current Secretary-General of the Council of State, has surfaced. Pakorn is a protégé of Meechai Ruchuphan, former chairman of the 2017 Constitution Drafting Committee, and Wissanu Krea-ngam, former Deputy Prime Minister, and his qualifications are being reviewed.
