Incoming Ministers of Anutins Second Cabinet Submit Qualification Documents

Government House is bustling as incoming ministers of Anutin's second cabinet—Prasert, Rutthaphon, Yotsanan, Julphan, and Suriya—have begun submitting their documents for ministerial qualification verification. Meanwhile, Anutin has canceled outside engagements and is expected to attend the Security Operations Center meeting this afternoon.



On 23 Mar 2026 GMT+7, the atmosphere at the Secretariat of the Cabinet building, Government House, was filled with media throughout the morning, awaiting news. This followed reports that after Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul received the royal command appointing him on 20 Mar, the Bhumjaithai Party instructed those named in the cabinet lineup to submit documents for ministerial qualification screening.


At approximately 09:48, Wallop Rujirakorn, a staff member of Prasert Chantraruangthong, Secretary-General of the Pheu Thai Party, submitted documents on his behalf. Prasert is among those named in Anutin's second cabinet lineup, drawing attention to whether the final cabinet list will follow the announced lineup.

Then at 10:43, the team of Police Lieutenant General Rutthaphon Naowarat, Minister of Justice, arrived to submit ministerial qualification documents as well.

Later, at 11:30, representatives of Yotsanan Wongsawat, a party-list MP for Pheu Thai named as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, and representatives of Julphan Amornwiwat, party-list MP and Pheu Thai Party leader named Minister of Labour, submitted their ministerial qualification documents and biographies.

Additionally, the team of Suriya Jungrungreangkit, a Pheu Thai Party leader named Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, submitted qualification documents.


Regarding the Prime Minister's activities, at about 10:30, Anutin arrived at Government House to conduct duties at the Thai Khu Fah Building. Earlier, he had assigned Pradorn Prissanantakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, to preside over the 2026 World Water Day event titled “Water and Gender Equality” at the National Water Resources Office in Nonthaburi. Meanwhile, Sabida Thaiset, Minister of Culture, presided over the Suranari Victory Day celebration at the Suranari Monument in Nakhon Ratchasima on his behalf. It is anticipated that the Prime Minister will lead a meeting of the Security Operations Center for the Middle East conflict at 13:00 at the Phakdi Bodin Building, Government House.


At 10:45, Attaphon Rerkpiboon, Minister of Energy, and Danucha Pichayanan, Secretary of the National Economic and Social Development Council, arrived at the Thai Khu Fah Building. Shortly thereafter, Warawut Silpa-archa also arrived at the same building.
