Ms. Airin said the government, through the Ministry of Energy and the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), in cooperation with private sector partners, has introduced energy-saving measures via the “Air Conditioner Cleaning for the Nation” project. This initiative collaborates with department stores and online service providers to offer a 300 baht discount for air conditioner cleaning for 30,000 slots, and a discount for purchasing Grade 5 products with 15,000 slots. This is expected to reduce electricity consumption and lower carbon dioxide emissions.
