On 25 March 2026, the government, through the Ministry of Energy and the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), collaborates with private sector partners to implement energy-saving measures via the “Clean Your Air for the Nation” (Clean your air, Care your life) project.

In cooperation with department stores and online service providers, the project offers a 300-baht discount for air conditioner cleaning, limited to 30,000 slots, plus 15,000 slots for discounts on purchasing Grade 5 energy-efficient products. This aims to promote energy-saving, reduce electricity use during the hot season, and lower carbon dioxide emissions.

Steps to register for the “Clean Your Air for the Nation” project

1. Registration channels

EGAT will open registration only through participating department stores (no direct app or website registration for the general public), such as HomePro, Power Buy, The Mall (Power Mall), Thai Watsadu, and Mega Home.

2. Required documents

• ID card: original (homeowner or person listed on the house registration).
• Electricity bill: the most recent month (to verify the 11-digit account number).

3. Procedure

• Go to the store: Visit the electrical appliances department of a participating department store.
• Show documents: Present your ID card and electricity bill to the staff for eligibility verification.
• Receive discount: If slots are still available, the staff will let you pay the special cleaning fee (e.g., only 300 baht instead of the usual 600–700 baht, with EGAT covering 50% or according to that year's conditions).
• Schedule appointment: Set a date for the technician to clean your air conditioner at home with the sales staff.

Each electricity account number is limited to one slot (one air conditioner cleaning). The air conditioner must be wall-mounted type, no larger than 24,000 BTU. Interested citizens can register to participate from 25 March to 23 May 2026.
