Pakorn Nilprapunt declined to confirm replacing Bowornsak as Deputy Prime Minister overseeing legal affairs in the Anutin 2 cabinet, saying he wants to prioritize the people's issues first and acknowledged there is no need to amend the energy law yet because measures are already in place.
At 10:20 a.m. on 26 Mar 2026 at the Government House, Pakorn Nilprapunt, Secretary-General of the Council of State, attended a special economic cabinet meeting under the authority of Section 8 with Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul. Pakorn declined to comment on reports that he would assume the position of Deputy Prime Minister supervising legal affairs in the Anutin 2 government, waving off questions and saying he wants to focus on the people's matters first.
When asked if there is a need to amend any laws, Pakorn said it is not necessary yet because measures are already in place. He then smiled at reporters when asked if they would meet at Building 1, the office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
However, reporters noted that this appearance marks Pakorn's first public involvement since his name appeared on the list for the Anutin 2 government, potentially replacing Bowornsak Uwanno.
