On 26 March 2026, Mr. Mongkolkit Suksintharanon, leader of the Progressive Party, posted on his personal Facebook after oil prices increased by 6 baht per liter late last night (25 March 2026). He wrote, "Truly corrupt, buying votes with 1,000-3,000 baht per person, recouping 40-50 billion baht monthly from oil alone, excluding other expensive goods, pocketing the difference. Despicable! Damn it!!!" He added hashtags: "Get out, get out, get out, the dinosaurs will not tolerate this."
Additionally, Mongkolkit went live on Facebook under the title "Too Rich to Handle" He stated he believes that if Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul cannot manage the situation, the military will declare martial law to control oil imports, refining, and sales, as the prolonged chaos is causing total collapse. Tomorrow (27 March 2026), they will meet at the Government House at 10 a.m. at the complaint center to submit a letter to the government demanding no new government or cabinet formation, signaling refusal to tolerate further. He emphasized this is not a protest and does not call for a military coup, but requests military control over oil imports to cut off profiteering by middlemen. He also stated, "I, Tae, was not elected by you; whoever elected me must take responsibility, because managing like this will ruin the country."
