Julpan Reveals Meeting with PM on Progress of New Government Formation, Accelerates Policy Planning to Tackle Energy Crisis

Julpan revealed that he went to the Government House with Suriya to meet the Prime Minister to discuss progress in forming a new government and to accelerate policy planning to address the energy price crisis.

At 13:30 on 26 March 2026, reporters at the Government House reported that after Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul chaired a special cabinet meeting, Julpan Amornwiwat, party-list MP and leader of the Pheu Thai Party, along with Suriya Jungroongkit, a Pheu Thai party leader, met with Anutin at the Thai Khu Fah Building of the Government House. They held discussions for about 30 minutes before Anutin escorted Suriya and Julpan as they left the Government House.

At 15:25, Julpan revealed that he and Suriya met with Anutin at his invitation to discuss progress in forming the government and to deliberate on the drafting of policies to present at the parliamentary session, as previously coordinated.

Julpan added that the Pheu Thai Party is concerned about the rising oil prices. Pheu Thai MPs had expressed opinions, suggestions, and solutions during the House of Representatives meeting yesterday (25 March). He believes the current caretaker government has acknowledged their proposals and understands the public’s concerns. He encouraged all parties to expedite the formation of the new government so it can have full authority to address and resolve the oil crisis promptly.
