Phai Lik exposes that urea fertilizer is approaching a crisis, risking shortage before Songkran. He earnestly appeals to the government to reveal the truth and resolve the problem, warning not to let farmers risk financial ruin. He urges Supajee to urgently fix the issue before repeating the oil crisis.
At 17:20 on 26 March 2026 GMT+7. Mr. Phai Lik, Member of Parliament for Kamphaeng Phet, Kla Party. posted a message viaFacebook.Along with images showing data on the remaining fertilizer stocks held by importers and producers as of 10 March 2026 (collected on 17 March 2026), with Mr. Phai stating that there is only one truth. We must inform farmers to prepare; anyone saying there is enough fertilizer is not telling the truth. The fertilizer needed for rice fields after the plants start growing is urea (40-0-0), and it likely won’t be sufficient before Songkran.
“I earnestly urge the government to urgently manage this issue because the people do not have the capital to endure. Tell the truth and solve the problem, not saying one thing today and another tomorrow. I ask Minister Supajee Sutthumpun of the Ministry of Commerce to take note. Everyone can accept the truth, but farmers must be prepared. Don’t let this become like the oil crisis, because if it’s fertilizer, farmers could truly go bankrupt.”
Mr. Phai also added at the end that today the Prime Minister is not utilizing the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, possibly because we are not part of the government, but we care about the people as much as anyone else.
