Sudawan's qualifications for ministerial office failed the vetting process, with close attention on Nikorn Somklang, Member of Parliament for Nakhon Ratchasima, stepping in as her replacement.
On 27 Mar 2026 GMT+7, reporters at the Government House reported that after submitting documents for the background and qualification check of ministerial appointees, Ms. Sudawan Wangsupakitkosol, a party-list MP and deputy leader of the Pheu Thai Party, whose name was proposed for Minister of Social Development and Human Security, failed the qualification review. The ministerial seat remains reserved for Ms. Sudawan's quota. Consequently, Mr. Nikorn Somklang, Pheu Thai MP for Nakhon Ratchasima and her close associate, is set to replace her. His qualification check documents will be submitted to the Secretariat of the Cabinet at the Government House on the same day (27 Mar).
