Mongkolkit stormed the Government House demanding that Anutin resign over high oil prices and allowing party allies to engage in corrupt fuel hoarding.
At 10:20 a.m. on 27 March 2026, at the government's complaint center, Mongkolkit Suksintharanon, chairman of the Anti-Corruption Network Foundation, submitted a letter calling for Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul to be removed from office. He cited economic, livelihood, and security issues, especially the oil problem. On 26 March, fuel prices rose by 6 baht per liter, with expectations of another increase of at least 15 baht per liter before Songkran. He believes this indicates fuel hoarding.
Mongkolkit stated that the government has neglected to prevent fraud against the people, not counting the damage to the economy. Increased costs in transportation, electricity, food, fertilizer, and all goods will cause hardship for citizens. Therefore, the Anti-Corruption Network Foundation concluded that the Prime Minister is either incapable or negligent in preventing his associates from corruptly hoarding fuel, and that he has no intention of solving the problem for the people. Thus, he sees no benefit in the Prime Minister continuing to govern the country.
