35 Names Revealed for Anutin 2 Cabinet Submission to the King Scheduled for 30 Mar, Nikon Confirmed to Replace Sudawan

The "Anutin 2 Cabinet" is set to be submitted to the King on 30 March after 35 names passed stringent qualification checks. Notably, the Pheu Thai Party submitted three names, with "Nikon" replacing "Pueng Sudawan," while "Dear Khattiya" and "Wisut" failed to make the cut.

On 28 March 2026, a report from the Bhumjaithai Party stated that on 27 March, the backgrounds and qualifications of the prospective new ministers in the "Anutin 2" government were thoroughly verified. Ms. Sudawan Wangsupakitkosol was the only candidate facing qualification issues. Therefore, the Pheu Thai Party submitted three backup candidates for background and qualification checks, namely Mr. Nikon Somkalang, Mr. Wisut Chainarun, and Ms. Khattiya Sawatphol. All three passed, but ultimately Mr. Nikon was chosen to be proposed as Minister of Social Development and Human Security to replace Ms. Sudawan.

Reporters noted that on Monday, 30 March, the Prime Minister will hold a final discussion with the agencies responsible for qualification checks. If all goes smoothly with no issues, the list of 35 names will be submitted to the King according to protocol. The list includes
