The Prime Minister responded to foreign media, affirming that Thailand is not Asia's sick man, pointing out that foreign investors still have confidence and that infrastructure and energy supplies are sufficient to support the industrial sector.
At 12:10 on 28 Mar 2026 GMT+7 at the Government House, Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, answered questions from foreign media regarding his previous statement that Thailand would not be Asia's sick man. Asked about the current situation amid the energy crisis, he said, "We are still okay. We are not sick."
When asked if he had a message for foreign investors, the Prime Minister replied, "They all still have confidence in Thailand. Our infrastructure remains the same; it has not changed."
Asked again about the energy crisis, the Prime Minister said, "Yes, but we have enough energy to support the entire industrial sector and even greater potential for investors."
