At 16:00 on 28 March 2026, Mr. Narucha Kosasivilai, Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration, led the department's executive team along with representatives from the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) of the province, the provincial energy office, and representatives from the Department of Energy Business, Ministry of Energy, to inspect the oil depot of a major operator in Lam Luk Ka district, Pathum Thani province.
This field operation is a proactive inspection of fuel traders nationwide, following the Prime Minister’s directive to prevent hoarding and address fuel shortages.
The Department of Provincial Administration has launched a nationwide proactive operation. The Director-General urgently ordered inspectors, bureau and division directors, provincial officials, and district chiefs across Thailand to integrate efforts in thoroughly inspecting 92 oil depots in 31 provinces with a double-check approach. This aims to block fuel hoarding and illegal sales, while emphasizing that fuel reserves must meet standard levels to prevent exploitation of the public during crises.
