
The chairman of the Election Commission visited Kanchanaburi municipal election site, found the atmosphere orderly, and encouraged the public to vote in large numbers.
On 29 Mar 2026 at 09:00 at Tha Sao Subdistrict Municipality, Tha Maka District, Kanchanaburi province, Mr. Narong Klunwarin, chairman of the Election Commission, observed the election of municipal council members and mayors in Kanchanaburi, where some subdistrict administrative organizations have been upgraded to municipalities. He visited polling station 3 at the multipurpose hall of Tha Sao Municipality. Mr. Narong stated that today's municipal elections are being held across 297 locations nationwide with about 1.9 million eligible voters. He invited people to exercise their voting rights to elect mayors and municipal council members to manage their localities. This election is important as it selects representatives who are close to the people. During his inspection, he found the atmosphere to be good, the polling venues spacious, and the voting process well facilitated for voters, with citizens gradually coming out to cast their ballots.
