Suradet Advises Prime Minister Anutin to Appoint Peeraphan as Energy Minister to Catch Fuel Hoarders

Suradet proposed to the Prime Minister that Peeraphan can help resolve the national energy crisis. He suggested inviting him to become the Minister of Energy, noting Peeraphan's in-depth information and ability to catch fuel hoarders. He praised Peeraphan as dedicated and serious and expressed confidence that he could solve the country's crisis issues.

On 29 March 2026, Suradet Yasawat, an independent politician and former deputy leader of the Palang Pracharath Party, said the current oil crisis is a national emergency with severe impacts on the economy, tourism, and trade following a 6-baht increase in fuel prices. He believes only one person can effectively help the government address this crisis: Peeraphan Salirathavibhaga, former Deputy Prime Minister and former Minister of Energy. Suradet emphasized Peeraphan’s knowledge, capability, and dedication to solving problems. Therefore, if the Prime Minister dares to make a cabinet change by inviting Peeraphan to serve again as Minister of Energy to tackle the ongoing fuel crisis, it would benefit and improve the government's and nation’s image.

Suradet added that Peeraphan has accomplished much in the past, including passing and drafting many laws. Therefore, he hopes Peeraphan will be invited to be Energy Minister. Currently, Peeraphan is independent after resigning from his party-list MP position, so he should be able to assist the government.
