Prime Minister Announces Completion of Second Anutin Cabinet List, to Present It Today

Anutin chaired the final meeting to review the qualifications of prospective ministers, announcing that the list of the second Anutin Cabinet is complete and ready for signature and submission to the King today. He stated the Cabinet is prepared to deliver a policy statement to Parliament immediately after royal approval and the oath-taking ceremony.

At 09:06 on 30 March 2026, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul arrived at the Government House to perform his duties. Upon arrival, he drove his personal electric car to the Secretariat of the Cabinet building to hold a final meeting with relevant agencies regarding the qualifications of prospective ministers before submitting the list to the King on the same day. Cabinet Secretary-General Natthajaree Anantasilp welcomed him.

Reporters asked if this was the final discussion with agencies verifying the Cabinet's qualifications before submission to the King, but Anutin did not answer, instead smiling and laughing before saying, "I need to get to the meeting first, I'm already late."

The Prime Minister then held discussions with related agencies, including the Cabinet Secretary-General, Royal Thai Police, and the National Anti-Corruption Commission.

Later, at 09:59, Anutin revealed that the Cabinet list was in good order and ready for submission to the King. He emphasized the need to promptly review documents and proceed with the submission as quickly as possible.

When asked if there were any issues with the names on the list, Anutin said that any problematic names would have to be removed. He confirmed that all 35 names were with him but not yet signed, hence the need for this meeting to clarify matters.

Regarding the government's policy readiness, Anutin nodded in agreement, stating that once royal approval is granted and the oath-taking is completed, the government can immediately present its policy statement to Parliament.

When pressed about scheduling the policy presentation between 7-9 April, Anutin said the date cannot yet be set. It depends on receiving royal approval and completing the oath-taking before assuming office.

Reporters noted that the main agencies conducting background checks on the second Anutin Cabinet include the Royal Thai Police, responsible for criminal records, legal cases, and imprisonment history.

The Judiciary Office examines information on lawsuits, ongoing cases, or court judgments.

The National Anti-Corruption Commission reviews allegations of corruption, unexplained wealth, or serious ethical violations.

The Constitutional Court checks for any rulings related to political disqualifications.

The Department of Legal Execution investigates bankruptcy status.

The Election Commission verifies qualifications related to political party membership and electoral law prohibitions.

The Securities and Exchange Commission examines prohibited shareholdings, such as in state concession businesses or media companies.
