
The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) is set to submit a complaint against 44 Move Forward MPs who proposed amending Section 112 for approval by the full committee within 1-2 days before forwarding it to the Supreme Court. Attention focuses on whether 10 People's Party MPs will be ordered to suspend their duties.
On 30 Mar 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported progress in the case involving 44 Move Forward MPs who proposed amending Article 112 of the Criminal Code. Previously, the NACC resolved to indict the 44 MPs and requested an extension to submit the complaint to the Supreme Court.
A source from the NACC office revealed that within 1-2 days, the matter will be brought to the full NACC committee meeting once the NACC chairman calls the meeting and places the issue on the agenda. The committee will vote to approve the complaint to be submitted to the Supreme Court. If approved, the complaint will be sent to the Supreme Court. The decision on whether to suspend the MPs from their duties lies with the Supreme Court.
Regarding the 44 Move Forward MPs in the 27th House of Representatives under the People's Party banner, 10 are at risk of suspension by the court. These include eight party-list MPs: Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, Sirikanya Tansakul, Rangsiman Rome, Wayo Asawarungroj, Pakornwut Udompipatsakul, Natthawut Buapratum, Surachet Praveenwongwut, and Natcha Boonchaisinvas; and two constituency MPs: Theeratchai Panthumas and Taephiphop Limjitrakorn, both representing Bangkok.
