The Prime Minister noted full commitment from all agencies after the Ministry of Interior launched the "Old Capital Card Cut" operation, arresting the Ayutthaya district chief over nationality bribery.
At 11:20 a.m. on 31 Mar 2026, at the Impact Forum Convention Center in Muang Thong Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul spoke about the case where the anti-registration security task force of the Department of Provincial Administration (DOPA N.I.C.E.) under the Ministry of Interior, together with five agencies, launched the "Old Capital Card Cut" operation. This operation arrested corrupt state officials involved in fraudulent registration rights at the Wang Noi District Office in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. He said that the operation today resulted in many arrests related to nationality distribution, similar to the earlier case in Chiang Rai Province. Now, it has occurred in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province as well. Officials are fully carrying out their duties, collaborating with multiple agencies such as the Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC), the Department of Provincial Administration, and the Ministry of Interior. Each case involves state officials.
