On 1 April 2026, reporters said that on the evening of 31 March, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul went to eat Isan food at Mal Isan restaurant in Dusit, their regular spot. This time he was joined by a special guest, Newin Chidchob, chairman of Buriram United Football Club, in a friendly atmosphere. Observers noted that Anutin was smiling and greeting people in the restaurant.
Reporters said that on the morning of 31 March, the Royal Gazette published the royal decree appointing 35 ministers. It is expected that Anutin will lead the new cabinet to pay homage on 6 April. The Prime Minister’s Secretariat reportedly scheduled the new cabinet at around 15:00 to take official ID photos and undergo COVID-19 screening. Then, at about 17:00, the ministers will depart the Government House by car to Amphorn Sathan Throne Hall at Dusit Palace to take their oath before starting their duties.
Additional reports said that on the evening of 6 April, after taking the oath, the Prime Minister will chair a special cabinet meeting to prepare for the government's policy presentation to parliament scheduled for 9-10 April.
