Santi Piyatat Clears Out Office at Government House to Prepare for New Prime Minister and Cabinet

Santi Piyatat is gradually packing up and moving out of his Government House office to clear the room in preparation for the incoming Prime Minister and new ministers of the Prime Minister's Office. Meanwhile, Ekniti, Supamas, and Pradorn will continue to use their current offices.

On 1 Apr 2026 GMT+7, reporters at Government House reported that following the royal decree appointing the second Anutin Cabinet, ministers from the first Anutin Cabinet who were not reappointed have begun moving their belongings out of their Government House offices.

This morning, Santi Piyatat, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, instructed staff to collect items from the 4th floor of Building 1. Two small trucks and one pickup truck were used to transport belongings. Some items were taken home, while others were moved to Santi's office. The pickup truck carried a spirit altar table and some pictures, while the small trucks transported wooden cabinets, office furniture including desks and chairs, as well as dishes and bowls.

On the same day, the team of Lt. Col. Thammanat Prompao, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, visited the Government House spirit shrines to pay respects as a farewell ritual.

Former Deputy Prime Minister Suchart Chomklin, who in the second Anutin Cabinet holds only the position of Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, had his staff move items out of his first-floor office earlier. Similarly, Lt. Col. Thammanat Prompao and Minister Bawornsak Uwanno, Deputy Prime Minister, had staff begin clearing out Building 1 since last week.

Following this, staff will prepare offices to accommodate the new Deputy Prime Ministers and ministers attached to the Prime Minister's Office, including offices for Deputy Prime Ministers Songsak Thongsri, Sihasak Puangketkaew (who is also Minister of Foreign Affairs), Supachai Sutthumpun (Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce), Pakorn Nilprapunt (Deputy Prime Minister), Yotchanan Wongsawat (Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation), and Suk Samruay Wantaniyukul (Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office).

Meanwhile, Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance; Supamas Isarapakdee, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office; and Pradorn Prisanantakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, will continue using their existing offices.
