"Big Krieng," Deputy President of the Senate, quietly went up to the Thai Khu Fah Building at Government House to have lunch with Prime Minister Anutin and said they discussed the situation in the southern region.
At 12:00 PM on 1 April 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that before Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul presided over the opening of the “Thai Helps Thai” project to reduce burdens and living costs at the Santi Maitri Building (Rear Building) of Government House, he walked from the Thai Khu Fah Building to the Santi Maitri Building accompanied by General Kriengkrai Srisa-rit, Deputy President of the Senate, and Supachai Suthamphan, Minister of Commerce.
Reporters asked the Prime Minister why General Kriengkrai was accompanying him at this event. Anutin said he came to have lunch and to discuss various situations in the southern region.
Reporters then asked General Kriengkrai if there were any concerns regarding the southern situation. General Kriengkrai said they discussed various incidents.
However, reporters noted that during his military service, General Kriengkrai spent his career in the Fourth Army Area and formerly served as Commander of the Fourth Army Area before his retirement.
