
The Prime Minister personally posted a report on gas station closures: Bangchak and PTT each have two stations closed; SHELL and SUSCO have no shortages and all stations are operating normally. Meanwhile, PT gas stations face the largest fuel shortages, affecting more than 100 branches. He has ordered urgent action to resolve the problem.
On 1 Apr 2026 GMT+7 at 15:55, reporters reported that Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, posted on his personal Facebook about the status of gas stations closing on the same day. He detailed the situation by company: Bangchak currently has only 2 stations remaining open, in Nakhon Pathom and Si Sa Ket. PTT stations with transport shortages lasting over 12–24 hours have decreased to just 2 stations in the North. SHELL has no shortages, with fuel transport running continuously from various depots; all products are sufficiently available. PT has stations with transport shortages exceeding 24 hours without continuous sales: Lampang has the highest shortage with 62 branches, Khon Kaen 32 branches, Surat Thani 20 branches, and others. SUSCO stations have returned to normal operation today. This was reported this afternoon. The Prime Minister has ordered responsible parties to coordinate with PT to expedite solving the problem as quickly as possible.
