
The Ministry of Commerce announced that the "Thai Help Thai" campaign offers steep 30-50% product discounts extended through May. The program plans to include community products and continues efforts to reduce the public's cost of living.
At 18:05 on 1 Apr 2026 GMT+7 at the Government House, Mr. Nanthapong Jiralertpong, Director of the Office of Trade Policy and Strategy and spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, stated that understanding the situation, their main effort is to continuously reduce the public's cost of living. Today, the Ministry launched the "Thai Help Thai" product line to offer quality goods to the public. Prices, previously high, will be lowered by 30-50%. The "Thai Help Thai" brand includes essential consumer products such as soap, shampoo, rice, soybean oil, and palm oil.
Mr. Nanthapong gave examples: shampoo, currently 400 milliliters, was 165 baht, now reduced to 79 baht; white rice, previously 155 baht, now 79 baht. Participating wholesale and retail stores in the project include Makro, Lotus, 7-Eleven, Big C, Tops, Watsons, Foodland, and Gourmet Market. The public can find these products with price tags displayed at store entrances and on shelves.
Mr. Nanthapong added that the campaign period starts today and continues until May. A second phase will follow, during which the Ministry of Commerce will add community products.
