Government House Prepares Venue for Minister ID Photos and Special Cabinet Meeting on 6 Apr

Government House is preparing the venue for taking ministers' ID photos and holding a special Cabinet meeting on 6 April, ahead of the policy statement on 9-10 April.

On 2 April 2026, at Government House, preparations are underway for the special Cabinet meeting scheduled for 6 April, following Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul leading the Cabinet in the oath-taking ceremony. Officials have arranged the venue inside the Santi Maitri Building for the meeting, including reception rooms and a room for minister ID photos.

Reporters say the Prime Minister's Office Secretariat is preparing to inform the new Cabinet members to have their minister ID photos taken and undergo COVID-19 screening before 3:00 p.m. at the Santi Maitri Building.

At 5:00 p.m., the Prime Minister will lead the new Cabinet to Amphorn Sathan Throne Hall at Dusit Palace to take the oath of office before beginning their duties.

Afterwards, the Prime Minister will chair the special Cabinet meeting at the Santi Maitri Building to seek approval for the draft government policy statement to be presented to Parliament. The policy statement is preliminarily expected on 9-10 April.
