
Ekniti Nitithanprapas held an emergency meeting of the Fuel Price Structure Committee to examine the components of fuel pricing, including refining costs, marketing fees, and transportation charges, preparing to propose findings to the Cabinet within 15 days.
On 2 Apr 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that at 10:00 a.m., Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, called a meeting of the committee studying the appropriateness of fuel price cost components (Fuel Price Structure Committee) to examine suitable criteria for determining refining fees, marketing costs, transportation charges, and storage expenses for fuel.
Additionally, the committee must study appropriate criteria for calculating prices and setting wholesale prices at refinery outlets, as well as prices for fuel traders under Sections 7, 10, and 11 of the Fuel Trade Act B.E. 2543 (2000), with plans to submit the proposal to the Cabinet for consideration within 15 days.
