On 2 April 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek, Assistant Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, issued an urgent clarification following the spread of inaccurate information about the "Khon La Khrueng Phase 2" project online. She confirmed that the project is still in the process of developing detailed plans to be officially submitted to the new Cabinet for approval.
Ms. Ratchada affirmed that the project is real and the government is preparing it, but urged the public not to believe rumors circulating on social media. She asked people to wait for official government announcements only, to avoid confusion regarding rights and conditions. Beyond "Khon La Khrueng," the government also plans to introduce other assistance measures simultaneously to alleviate the impacts of the current economic situation and volatile energy prices, focusing on reducing the cost-of-living burden for all groups.
