The Speaker of the House has promoted Nikorn Jamnong, ranked 20th on the Bhumjaithai Party list, to become a new MP replacing Chabida Thaiset, who resigned on 2 April.
On 3 April 2026, the Royal Gazette website published an announcement from the House of Representatives regarding the promotion of the next person on a party’s list to fill a vacant MP seat. The announcement stated that following the Election Commission's declaration of the party-list MP election results on 4 March 2026, which confirmed Ms. Chabida Thaiset, fifth on the Bhumjaithai Party list, as an elected member of the House of Representatives,
Ms. Chabida subsequently submitted a letter of resignation effective 2 April 2026, ending her membership under Section 101 (3) of the 2017 Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand. Therefore, the Speaker of the House, exercising powers under Section 105 (2) of the 2017 Constitution, has announced that the next person on the Bhumjaithai Party list, ranked 20th, Mr. Nikorn Jamnong, shall be promoted to become a member of the House of Representatives.
