Dr. Warong countered Piyabutr, saying he should clean up his own house before inspecting others, instead of only scrutinizing others while some still cheat the public. He then suggested Piyabutr should also look into the judiciary's budget.
On 4 April 2026, Dr. Warong Dechkitvikrom, party-list MP and leader of the Thai Pakdee Party, posted a video addressing Piyabutr Saengkanokkul, secretary-general of the Progressive Movement. He said that regarding Piyabutr's call for Thai Pakdee MPs to audit the budgets of the judiciary, independent agencies, and the military—aiming to match even a fraction of the scrutiny given to MPs' food, pensions, and assistants' budgets, which are also funded by taxpayers.
"I want to tell Piyabutr that the most valuable form of scrutiny is to first ensure your own house is clean before inspecting others. By auditing the benefits of MPs and senators, I believe it will help make them clean, transparent, and gain public trust, which will strengthen political parties. Then, when auditing other organizations, the efforts will be credible. It is not right to just audit others while we ourselves still cheat the public."
